Greenbrook is seeking an Insurance Specialist who will play a vital role in working to ensure our patients are able to utilize their health insurance benefits to access the mental health services they seek. This role is responsible for identifying and reporting patient eligibility.

This position is full-time in our corporate offices in Delray Beach and work hours will vary between the hours of 8am-6pm (EST).

We offer a competitive pay range of $18-$20/hour (based on education level and prior experience) PLUS a generous benefits package including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and medical/dental/vision benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify insurance coverage and mental health benefits (in-network providers, coverage details for patients, pre-authorization requirements).
• Identify specific insurance requirements to complete the verification process.
• Work collaboratively with insurance companies to secure coverage quotes for patients' mental health treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough insurance research to identify the most cost-effective options for patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide clear and concise documentation of insurance payer plans including patient coverage, cost share, access, and provider options.
• Identify and report trends and delays with reimbursements.
• Collaborate with the management and clinical teams to identify potential insurance barriers and develop solutions to expedite and ensure patient access.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in healthcare insurance, with a focus on mental health benefits a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical billing and coding practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to reducing healthcare disparities.
