Greenbrook is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager, Health Information Management to oversee and manage the daily operations of our Health Information Management Department. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of patient health data while supporting our commitment to excellence in mental health care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• System Design and Implementation: Design and implement health information systems that comply with medical, legal, and ethical standards. Ensure processes for accurate and complete documentation.

• Records Maintenance: Compile, organize, and maintain confidential medical records. Manage data entry and maintenance in electronic medical records (EMRs).

• Monitoring and Auditing: Oversee EMR data accuracy, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, as well as standards set by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

• Data Analysis: Analyze clinical data to support research, process improvement, and reporting.

• Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff to enhance the quality and accuracy of patient data. Oversee medical coders and billers for accuracy.

• Staff Education: Train staff on documentation importance and develop procedures for accurate medical data entry.

• Policy Development: Develop policies and procedures for patient health data management. Track information to identify trends and problem areas.

• Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives for quality improvement and respond to audits. Oversee the management of information release requests and address staff, vendor, and public inquiries.

• Team Management: Train, evaluate, and provide feedback to staff. Ensure adherence to departmental standards and measure staff performance and productivity.

Education & Licensure:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: RHIA or RHIT and CPC required.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum of five years of experience in physician practices, preferably with regional practice experience related to healthcare.
• Proficient in computer skills, information management, and previous management/supervisor experience.
• Experience with AdvanceMD PM/EMR preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $50-$65k (based on experience and education) as well as a generous benefits package, including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.
