Sr. Revenue Cycle Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and experienced remote Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in enhancing our revenue cycle performance.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the VP of Revenue Cycle, the Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst will be instrumental in driving data-driven initiatives and analytics related to our revenue cycle operations. This role involves gathering, trending, reporting, and analyzing data to optimize reimbursement and improve overall revenue cycle efficiency. The Analyst will act as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the assigned team, managing projects of intermediate complexity and scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Managed Care teams to identify and address barriers affecting account resolution and reimbursement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and variances, supporting optimal reimbursement. Communicate findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Reporting: Extract, develop, and present comprehensive analyses on key metrics. Identify trends, highlight opportunities, and prioritize initiatives for performance improvement in areas such as claim submission, collections, refunds, and write-offs.
  • Strategic Support: Contribute to financial strategy and analysis activities, including business analysis, financial metrics, and project management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current on revenue cycle and industry trends. Engage in ongoing learning and apply new knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Proactively manage personal development and seek training opportunities to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Technical Skills: Build dashboards and reports using SQL and other tools. Develop data solutions that support operational decisions and scope new data/reporting requests.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience in regional network management, finance, or project/process management, including three years in a healthcare setting
  • Six (6) years of continuous healthcare revenue cycle analytics experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and experience with Athena (preferred)
  • Experience with Tableau and SQL
  • Knowledge of Payer Contracts and rate analysis
